This group of vigilante men and boys were acting on behalf of an ideology - an ideology that is extremely intolerant of a grown adult having the odd glass of Chianti with a meal but that supports the death penalty for adultery, apostasy and even for being a homosexual.
Just watch this space - I’m sure that thousands of UK citizens who adhere to a form of moderate Islam will be up in arms about this summary execution and will be the first to stand up against Islam’s extreme views on the punishments for drinking alcohol.
