That would depend on the definition of "moderation", which will vary by individual.
Alcohol consumption in moderation should have no consequences, as far as health is concerned; red wine is supposed to be good for you as it is an antioxidant.
Moderate alcohol consumption while driving or at work may still have consequences, though.

If alcoholism is a factor, well, enough said there
If breast cancer is in the family, est too
I do believe red wine is great, but with this spraying they are doing to kill off the bugs making it at the wrong time of year or whatever, they are f-n up our grapes!! I say buy older wines if you consume moderately, because recent spraying is going to cause problems I believe, but this is just my opinion…

"In moderation" means you are actively trying to not have negative consequences.

There are not large scale consequences for consuming alcohol in moderation, so long as you are doing so responsibly (not driving). However, the major problem comes into play at the point that very few Americans know the world of moderation. Everything here is huge and overblown, in excess and uncontrolled. We get addicted, we like how it makes us feel at moderation…so we drink more…because that MUST make us feel even better! Then you run into the problems of alcoholism, liver and kidney problems, drunkenness, broken families, drunk driving, lack of judgement (falling off bar stools!). So that said…party on with your bad self if you are lucky enough to really know what moderation means (and there are plenty who do
I was just proving a point that the vast majority don't)

Nil unless you are driving a motor vehicle. Up to two standard drinks you should be OK but your third drink could push you over the 0.05 limit.
