What is “Moderation Management”?

Moderation Management is a 51C national self-help support group primarily dealing with alcohol problems. But the principles of moderation management can be applied to any behavioral problem and any behavioral addiction. There is an internet chat room and internet support and tools and strategies that are available for someone to look up online. It’s free of charge. It’s a new paradigm in the self-help movement and the only one I know of that approaches it from a harm reduction standpoint. For more information visit http://aaalternatives.com

    Moderation didn’t …
Moderation didn’t help the 2 people killed when the founder of Moderation Management wrecked driving drunk. A father and his 12 year old son are DEAD.

We who are alcoholics always look for the easier, softer way, especially if it means we can still drink. This is what is meant by INSANITY.

    First, I do not …
First, I do not believe addiction is a disease. I was a chronic alcohol abuser, and needed help. Although the 12 step approach is constructive, disease reservations remain.

My approach to the behavioral excess is life-long abstinence through the 12 step support network. Early on I researched Moderation Management and found that its founder killed a father and son driving drunk. That spoke volumes.

Alcoholics, RUN FROM THIS PROGRAM! If one doesn’t drink, one can’t drive drunk. End of story.

    This is hysterical. …
This is hysterical. What a soaring hypocrit. He says, ” AA claims it can fix all your problems ” in his other videos. AA makes no such claim AT ALLLLLL. But then he comes in here, and say this BS system will do it. Unreal~!

    If alcohol causes …
If alcohol causes problems in your life then why the would you want to drink at all ?
    Moderation my arse.

    MM will not work …
MM will not work for me, or people I know in recovery. If it works for you, great, but it seems unlikely.
