I have been on birth control for almost 9 years and my husband and I are ready to conceive. Now we’re all excited about getting pregnant ASAP. I know that people trying to get drugs out of their system to pass a drug test drink lots or water to detox themselves. I figure the same thing should work for birth control. What do you think, and what are your experiences?
Each chemical is different and may react differently in the body. Some are soluble in water while others are not; some break down quickly while others reside in the body’s tissues for years.
So the specific type of chemical that a person is exposed to may make a difference in how it affects them.
Colon cleansing will eliminate toxins from your cells, tissues, organs, and organ systems.

Within a week of stopping the pill it’s out of your system honey that isn’t the issue. The issue is that even when it’s out of your system if you’ve been on it for a long time it can take time to regain ovualtion and a normal menstrual cycle. It takes most couples 6-12 months to get pregnant so it can take time.

It may take a few months for you to start ovulating regularly, but the hormones in the birth control will be out of your body as soon as you stop taking it. That is why it is possible to get pregnant while on the pill if you miss pills. Drinking water is good for you, but it won’t help you get pregnant any faster. I got pregnant the first month that I was off the pill after being on for 5 yeasrs.

drinking lots of water will not affect your hormonal system. To get the drugs from your system (in your case the bcp) you just need…time to let your body return to it’s hormonal balance. good luck!

I don’t think drinking a lot of water will get it out of your system any faster. But when my husband and I started talking about conceiving I went and talked with my doctor. She told me that it would be out of my system within a day or two. I didn’t really think it was believable at first either, but then again when you think about, people get pregnant all the time from missing one or two pills out of a pack. I was also told to start taking prenatals, and to stop the pill roughly 3 months before we wanted to start actively trying. Well, we didn’t get through the whole 3 months, we didn’t even get through the first month.
Good luck!

Either way, water is good for you. Start taking a prenatal vitamin and you could also try taking Cell Food drops for a month or two. I took that two months before i fell pregnant both times and my sister swears that’s what helped with the first (took four years of trying).
