I reckon that if you contact your nearest branch of AA they should be able to help you with this sort of info.
i agree with bitterpi but the law and physicians could do it out of their own beliefs… like Ellen says their is no controlled drinking. it would all be done to satisfy people’s beliefs.
also it would be so that people ,that don’t know where to get it, or can’t afford it or don’t trust the dealers ,etc would have access sometimes so that they could enjoy it’s benefits too.
because MJ is not chemically addictive….what would be the point?
Understand, the people who seek treatment for marijuana addiction are not there because they want help, they’re there because under current federal law a first time drug offender can choose treatment instead of jail. Talk about incentive.
The only real danger from marijuana is the punishment if you get caught.
Substance abuse is a big problem nowadays. Many people have seek for various kinds of early intervention in order to be treated. I would just like to know, if going to a rehabilitation center is the right thing to do for a person with these addiction problems.
When you go to a rehabilitation center for drug and alcohol addiction, they usually recommend dual diagnosis treatment. This strategy is the only way to treat both drug and alcohol addictions simultaneously.
Thanks for any helpful sites or info!
The symptoms of alcoholism are:
not being able to limit your drinking (can’t stop at 1 or 2 drinks)
drinking alone
hiding your drinking
needing more and more drinks to feel the effects
stashing alcohol in hiding places
periods of blacking out (missing time)
no interest in anything (hobbies, family, friends, etc) except that next drink
feeling the "need" to drink
gulping drinks
ordering doubles
financial problems
work problems
experiencing withdrawal symptoms if too long without a drink (nausea, shaking, sweating, etc)
Alcoholics need a drink the minute they wake up in the morning. They know they should cut back on their drinking so feel guilty. They also become very defensive if someone mentions they are drinking too much, suggests they have a problem or criticizes their drinking.

Just got back from holiday and have been drinking between 8 and 10 units per night. Haven’t drunk all week since but have been feeling really tired - is there a connection?
Yep, it does have a connection with the booze. Give a few weeks and let your body (and liver) recover.
In the future it may be best to not drink that much despite it being a holiday as alchohol can make people do the stupidest of things (I’ve been there, done it)
